Blackburn Bowls Club is saddened by the passing of Clive Sindrey on Tuesday August 17 at the age of 94 . Clive had been a great stalwart of the Club since commencing as a member in 1980. Clive was an accomplished cricketer having played District Cricket for Richmond. He brought that passion for success to Bowls. He contributed greatly to the Club’s success as a Division 1 player, a very wily skipper and selector. Despite his declining health in the past few years he took a great interest in the Club’s fortunes.
Clive was a key contributor to the development of younger players and was forthright in passing on his experience .
In later years he regularly could be seen bringing in bird seed to the Club’s front garden to encourage the lorikeets to appear, something in which we all delighted.
All at Blackburn send their condolences and love to Dorothy, Heather, Robert and the family at this sad time.
