It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Brett Jefferies.

As our Property Manager, Brett would often be seen around the club doing whatever was required. Whether it was handyman work, jumping on the BBQ, cooking for a function, cleaning up or helping someone who needed a hand, Brett never said no. No task was ever too big or too small.

Only recently at our Christmas in July function, Brett was once again doing what he did best. He helped cook for everyone before swapping the kitchen for the Santa suit, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to the club. It was Brett in a nutshell, always putting his hand up and doing whatever he could for others.

We send all our love to our Bowls Manager and Brett’s wife, Julie. Together, Brett and Julie were the dynamic duo of Blackburn Bowls Club, always putting their hands up to do whatever was required. Their contribution to our club has been immeasurable.

Brett never looked for recognition or praise. He was simply there whenever you needed him, and our club is a better place because of everything he gave to it.

Brett was more than our Property Manager. He was our mate and an enormous part of the Blackburn Bowls Club family.

It won’t be the same without you, Brett.
