It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Simon Owen, known to so many of us simply as “Woofa”.

After a short illness, Simon passed away peacefully this morning at Box Hill Hospital.

Woofa’ was large in stature and even larger in character. His smile, his laugh and his presence around the Club were infectious, and he will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

On behalf of Blackburn Bowls Club, we extend our deepest sympathies to Simon’s family, friends and all those close to him.
